Land Survey Project Manager

Our client, a nationally recognized civil engineering firm, is seeking a Land Survey Project Manager to lead survey operations for transportation and land development projects in their Raleigh office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced survey professional who enjoys managing teams, coordinating field and office work, and delivering high-quality results for public and private sector clients.

The Land Survey Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing land surveying projects from proposal through completion
  • Overseeing field crews and office staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Preparing and reviewing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project specifications
  • Developing scopes, budgets, and schedules for survey projects
  • Mentoring junior staff and supporting professional development

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in land surveying, including project management
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of survey principles, practices, and applicable regulations
  • Proficiency with survey software and equipment (GPS, robotic total stations, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
