Land Survey Project Manager
Our client, a national land surveying firm with over 800 employees across the U.S., is continuing to grow its Southeast footprint and is looking to bring on a Land Survey Project Manager in Charlotte, NC.
This firm is well known for delivering large-scale commercial, land development, and community infrastructure projects, with a deep backlog and long-term client relationships throughout the region. The role offers a mix of leadership, technical oversight, and client-facing responsibility, supported by strong incentives and a flexible hybrid working model.
The Project Manager would be responsible for:
- Managing land survey projects from proposal through delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination
- Leading and mentoring survey staff, including field crews and office personnel
- Reviewing plats, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and topographic surveys
- Coordinating with engineers, developers, municipalities, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting business development efforts and maintaining long-term client relationships
- Ensuring projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and deadlines
The Project Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or on a clear path to licensure
- Proven experience managing land survey projects, ideally within commercial and land development markets
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience overseeing teams
- Familiarity with Southeast regional projects and clients is a plus
- Experience working with survey software and managing multiple projects concurrently
