Lead Engineer
We're looking for a driven Lead Civil Engineer PE to join our growing team and take charge of municipal infrastructure projects across Minnesota. This role is ideal for a licensed PE (or someone eligible within 6-12 months) who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys mentoring others while delivering high-impact public works.
What You'll Do
- Manage engineering teams through planning, design, and construction phases
- Lead municipal projects: water/sewer systems, roadways, drainage, and site development
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and client communication
- Prepare proposals and participate in interviews to win new work
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Support business development and represent the firm in the community
What You Bring
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. a plus)
- PE license in MN or ability to obtain within 6-12 months
- 7+ years of municipal or civil engineering experience
- Strong skills in project management, construction oversight, and client relations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office; GIS or MicroStation a bonus
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
