Our client, a leading design-build firm specializing in commercial and industrial projects, is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Atlanta. This is a senior-level role offering the chance to lead structural design initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and play a key part in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of structural engineering design for complex commercial and industrial projects.
- Perform and oversee structural analysis, calculations, and modeling for steel, concrete, and other systems.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of structural solutions.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and safety standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
- Support construction phases with technical expertise and site visits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, STAAD).
- Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
