We are seeking a seasoned Operations Leader with strong experience in construction, utility, or heavy civil environments. This role is well‑suited for a hands-on leader who excels in managing field operations, guiding teams, and driving safe, high‑quality project delivery.
About the Role
The Operations Leader will oversee day‑to‑day field activities across multiple projects, ensuring strong performance, safety, and quality results. This individual will collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams to support successful project execution and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field operations across multiple active project sites
- Oversee crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure productivity and compliance
- Drive project schedules to meet key milestones on time and within budget
- Uphold and enforce safety and quality standards across all job sites
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering and project leadership
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven operational leadership experience within construction, utilities, or heavy civil sectors
- Demonstrated success managing field teams, crews, and subcontractors
- Experience overseeing multi‑site operations and complex project execution
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lead in dynamic, fast‑paced environments
- Michigan-based candidates strongly preferred
