Plumbing Engineer
Position Summary:
We're looking for a seasoned Plumbing Engineer to join our growing team. If you bring 10+ years of experience in the MEP industry and have a passion for thoughtful system design, code compliance, and sustainable solutions, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You'll collaborate with a dedicated group of professionals across a variety of commercial, institutional, and governmental projects.
What You'll Do:
- Design and layout plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and natural gas.
- Perform system sizing calculations and ensure designs meet applicable codes (IPC, UPC, and local amendments).
- Select and specify plumbing fixtures, equipment, and materials.
- Create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard software.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and specifications.
- Conduct site visits to verify installation and ensure compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Stay current on industry trends, sustainable technologies, and code updates.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in plumbing system design within the MEP industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and plumbing design software.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes and standards (IPC, UPC, ASPE).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- EIT or PE license is a plus.
