We are seeking a Power Sales Manager to drive power sales for both onsite and offsite PPAs in Japan. This role is critical to expanding the customer base and achieving our renewable energy targets. You will manage the full sales cycle-from lead generation to contract closure-while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to secure onsite and offsite PPA contracts with corporate customers.
- Manage the entire sales process: prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local corporates and industrial clients.
- Collaborate with engineering, project development, and OEM teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand into manufacturing and industrial sectors.
- Provide solutions-based sales, including integration of BESS and other innovative technologies.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and contribute to achieving MW targets.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales, preferably in solution-based or industrial sales. Renewable energy experience is a plus.
- Language: Business-level Japanese (mandatory). English is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of commercial negotiations and contract management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn about renewable energy and electrification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PPAs or renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of battery storage solutions and energy transition trends.
- Network within manufacturing or industrial sectors in Japan.
