Currently, the firm outsources all physical restoration work. They are now seeking a seasoned leader to establish and grow an in-house restoration practice, bringing repair capabilities under their umbrella and expanding their service offering.


Job Overview

This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity to open and lead the Houston restoration office and build a division from scratch. The successful candidate will manage insurance restoration projects, perform detailed estimates, and oversee execution of repairs across multiple property types. You will be responsible for developing operational processes, hiring a skilled team, and driving growth for this new practice.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed estimates for insurance restoration projects using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Establish and lead the Houston restoration office, including team recruitment and development.
  • Manage restoration projects from initial assessment through completion, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal consulting and claims teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Develop operational processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers, adjusters, and property owners to drive business growth.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for projects.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and leadership capability in:

  • Fire and smoke damage restoration
  • Water and flood damage restoration
  • Storm and wind damage repairs
  • Structural repairs and reconstruction
  • Roofing and exterior restoration

  • Interior finishes and property rebuilds

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in insurance restoration, construction management, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale restoration projects and teams.
  • Strong estimating skills with proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate).
  • Deep understanding of insurance claims processes and property loss restoration.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in business development and practice growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliver exceptional results under pressure.
