With a strong backlog of transportation-related projects in collaboration with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor looking to grow into a leadership role.
Position Overview:
The selected PLS will work closely with the Survey Department Manager, contributing to both field and office operations. This role is ideal for someone with leadership aspirations and a passion for delivering high-quality surveying services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing field crews and coordinating schedules
- Analyze field data and measurements
- Support boundary, ALTA, and topographic survey efforts
- Communicate with clients and oversee project execution
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of professional surveying experience
- Active PLS license in Illinois and/or Indiana
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or Trimble Business Center
- Hands-on experience with surveying instruments such as digital total stations and survey controllers
