Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Project Architect with a passion for civic and hospitality design to lead and support projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with strong technical skills, a deep understanding of public architecture, and the ability to manage complex projects and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and documentation for projects including hospitality venues, police stations, libraries, and community centers.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop design concepts that align with programmatic needs and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines and manage consultant deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability goals.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of design excellence and innovation.
- Participate in client presentations, community engagement sessions, and public meetings.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- 7-12+ years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio in public and hospitality architecture.
- Licensed Architect (preferred or in progress).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Enscape, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, and ADA requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with public sector clients and community engagement is a plus.
