Project Manager - Hospitality Construction - Rhode Island

An established real estate development firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead hotel construction projects throughout Rhode Island. This position requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in hospitality development and the ability to manage complex projects from pre-construction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of hotel construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met
  • Manage construction quality, safety standards, and compliance with local and state regulations
  • Track project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present regular project status updates to ownership and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand and design standards

Experience Needed

  • 5-10+ years of project management experience within commercial real estate development
  • Demonstrated experience managing hotel or hospitality construction projects, including ground-up and/or major renovations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex construction schedules
  • Strong background in budgeting, cost controls, and contract administration
  • Knowledge of Rhode Island permitting processes and building codes preferred

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction and project management software such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • OSHA certification and/or PMP certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Rhode Island as required
