Project Manager - Hospitality Construction - Rhode Island
An established real estate development firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead hotel construction projects throughout Rhode Island. This position requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in hospitality development and the ability to manage complex projects from pre-construction through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of hotel construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met
- Manage construction quality, safety standards, and compliance with local and state regulations
- Track project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Prepare and present regular project status updates to ownership and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand and design standards
Experience Needed
- 5-10+ years of project management experience within commercial real estate development
- Demonstrated experience managing hotel or hospitality construction projects, including ground-up and/or major renovations
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex construction schedules
- Strong background in budgeting, cost controls, and contract administration
- Knowledge of Rhode Island permitting processes and building codes preferred
Qualifications Needed
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction and project management software such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- OSHA certification and/or PMP certification preferred
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Rhode Island as required
