The Opportunity
We are looking for a capable Water Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is a broad, hands-on role supporting project delivery, state-based operations, and business growth across Western Australia.
This position will initially manage live projects across the mining, municipal, and industrial water sectors, while working closely with the national team. Over time, the role offers clear scope to shape the WA business and grow a local team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery (Core Focus)
- Deliver water and wastewater projects across mining, municipal, and industrial clients
- Manage project scope, schedules, costs, contractors, and client relationships
- Apply strong mechanical engineering and water treatment/process knowledge
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and commercial expectations
WA Operations
- Act as the day-to-day operational lead for Western Australia
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and site activities locally
- Implement and improve practical project and operational processes
- Liaise with the national business to ensure alignment and support
Business Development & Growth
- Support client engagement and identify follow-on and new project opportunities
- Maintain relationships with mining companies, utilities, councils, and industrial clients
- Assist in building the WA project pipeline and longer-term growth strategy
- Contribute to decisions around future resourcing as the WA business expands
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong background delivering water / wastewater projects
- Experience across mining, municipal, and/or industrial water infrastructure
- Currently operating as a Project Manager, looking to step up
- Comfortable working across delivery, operations, and client-facing activities
- Practical, commercially aware, and confident working autonomously
