Position Overview:
A leading civil engineering and land development firm is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and grow its land development practice in the Phoenix metropolitan area. This role combines technical project leadership with strategic business development responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of the firm's presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex land development projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, surveying, planning, and environmental services to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license in Arizona required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in land development, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and client development in the Phoenix or broader Arizona market.
  • Strong understanding of zoning, entitlement, permitting, and land use planning processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established network of industry contacts and clients in the Phoenix area.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.
  • Familiarity with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
  • Business acumen with the ability to identify market trends and strategic growth opportunities.
