Project Manager
Position Overview:
A leading civil engineering and land development firm is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and grow its land development practice in the Phoenix metropolitan area. This role combines technical project leadership with strategic business development responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of the firm's presence in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex land development projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, surveying, planning, and environmental services to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license in Arizona required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in land development, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client development in the Phoenix or broader Arizona market.
- Strong understanding of zoning, entitlement, permitting, and land use planning processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established network of industry contacts and clients in the Phoenix area.
- Experience with residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.
- Familiarity with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
- Business acumen with the ability to identify market trends and strategic growth opportunities.
