Overview

An engineering consulting organization specializing in water-related infrastructure is seeking a Project Manager to support system planning and infrastructure initiatives. The organization focuses on delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for complex water, wastewater, and stormwater challenges while supporting public health and resilient communities.

Role Summary

This position will focus on planning and managing projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. The role includes technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure planning and modeling efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop both traditional and integrated master plans for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
  • Perform data analysis related to hydrologic conditions, system flows, water demands, and hydraulic performance
  • Develop conceptual plans and associated cost estimates
  • Conduct system modeling for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Support permitting efforts and alternatives analysis
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and digital deliverables
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
  • Support project delivery, including scope, schedule, and budget management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Approximately 7-15 years of relevant experience in modeling and infrastructure planning
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including managing teams, budgets, and schedules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with application of engineering principles
  • Familiarity with GIS, CAD tools, and industry-standard hydraulic modeling software
  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic systems for pressurized and gravity networks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with clients and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and proactive work style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $125,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors
