Project Technical Leader - Wastewater - Edison New Jersey
A senior engineering leadership role responsible for driving the technical direction and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working closely with a Project Manager, this role ensures high-quality design, compliance, and efficient execution across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of engineering designs for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related systems.
- Review and approve designs and reports to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards.
- Conduct site visits and studies to align designs with project requirements.
- Support proposal development and review submissions for accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to technical knowledge by producing documentation, studies, and industry publications.
- Engage with clients and represent the organization at industry events.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical oversight and support.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Around 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in engineering design principles, CADD (3D/4D), and standard business software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations.
Additional Information
- Occasional travel (approximately 10%) may be required.
- Salary range: approximately $115,000 - $200,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.
