Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Engineer

This is an opportunity for an Engineer to support the testing, evaluation, and certification of renewable energy and energy storage technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers looking to build experience with solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), inverters, and power conversion equipment. The role combines hands-on testing, technical analysis, client interaction, and project coordination in a fast-paced engineering environment. Applicants with a strong technical foundation and interest in renewable energy technologies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and evaluation of renewable energy and energy storage products in accordance with applicable safety and performance standards.
  • Review national and international codes and standards to determine testing requirements.
  • Establish and execute test plans for equipment under test.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot test equipment and products.
  • Conduct preliminary design reviews and product evaluations.
  • Compile test data, document findings, and prepare technical reports.
  • Communicate project status, testing progress, and results to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout project execution.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment to assess compliance and recommend solutions.
  • Support both laboratory and field-based evaluations as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Experience or interest in renewable energy, energy storage, power electronics, or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with inverters, battery energy storage systems, or power conversion equipment is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze technical information, solve problems, and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
