Location: Based near North Little Rock, AR
Salary: $100,000 base + commission (typical total earnings range: $125K-$185K+, with potential beyond $200K)

Job Summary

This Sales Engineer role focuses on selling a broad mix of automation and industrial control technologies. It is field‑based, with most time spent visiting customers, solving technical problems, and supporting engineering‑driven applications. The role involves daily customer interactions, solution selling, and collaboration with application engineers and manufacturer partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain a strong field presence.
  • Sell automation solutions involving:
    • Machine vision
    • PLCs, drives, and controls
    • Motion control and motors
    • Robotics and conveyors
    • Inductive and radar sensors
    • Feeder bowls and related components
  • Develop technical solutions aligned to customer needs.
  • Partner with internal engineers and manufacturer reps.
  • Participate in product and manufacturer training programs.
  • Maintain accurate account planning, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Build strong, ongoing customer relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (engineering preferred).
  • 2+ years of applicable experience in automation, controls, robotics, or industrial distribution.
  • Automation sales experience preferred; hands‑on automation or engineering experience also considered.
  • Strong technical communication and customer‑facing skills.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a field‑heavy environment.
