A leading HVAC contractor is seeking a qualified and experienced Sales Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis. This individual will play a key role in driving business growth by managing the full sales estimating cycle-from reviewing project documentation to closing deals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Review & Estimation:

    • Independently reviews architectural and mechanical plans, specifications, and project documentation.
    • Prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects, including new construction, retrofits, and replacements.
    • Utilizes estimating software and tools to develop detailed proposals and bid packages.
  • Sales & Client Engagement:

    • Prepares and delivers tailored sales presentations to prospective clients.
    • Finalizes sales agreements and ensures a smooth transition to project execution teams.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, engineers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Site Visits & System Design:

    • Conducts site visits to assess project requirements and existing system conditions.
    • Collaborates with engineering teams to select appropriate HVAC solutions.
    • Provides technical input and recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
  • Communication & Coordination:

    • Maintains clear and professional communication with all stakeholders.
    • Coordinates with internal departments to align on project scope, pricing, and timelines.
    • Responds to RFIs, RFQs, and submittals in a timely and accurate manner.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HVAC estimating and sales, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system components, installation methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Familiar with estimating software (e.g., QuickPen, FastEST, QuoteSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Engineering or technical background is a plus.
