About the Opportunity
A global manufacturer of high-performance equipment for reverse osmosis, desalination, and industrial water treatment applications is seeking a LATAM Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and account growth across Latin America.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving technical challenges, and working with customers to improve system performance and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with OEMs, engineering firms, system integrators, distributors, and end users throughout the region to grow market share and expand the company's presence.

Position Summary
The LATAM Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies throughout Latin America while maintaining strong relationships with key customers and industry partners. This individual will manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through proposal development, technical support, contract negotiation, and project execution.
The role combines business development, account management, technical sales, and strategic market development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the LATAM market
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, engineering firms, EPC contractors, distributors, and end users
- Expand business within existing accounts while developing new customers and market channels
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and accurately forecast sales performance
Technical Sales & Customer Support
- Assist customers in selecting and configuring equipment for specific applications
- Provide technical guidance regarding pumps, motors, variable frequency drives, energy recovery devices, and related systems
- Develop and deliver technical and commercial proposals
- Conduct technical presentations for customers, engineering groups, and decision-makers
- Support customers throughout specification, design, procurement, installation, and operational phases
Market Development
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies
- Identify new market opportunities within desalination, water treatment, industrial water, marine, and related sectors
- Gather customer and market intelligence to support strategic planning
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events throughout the region
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to support customer requirements
- Provide market feedback to support product development and business initiatives
- Assist with sales campaigns, product marketing efforts, and technical content development
- Communicate sales plans, project status, forecasts, and business results to leadership
Performance & Accountability
- Consistently achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting
- Provide regular updates on account activity, project progress, and regional market conditions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the commercial organization
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Technical sales experience within water treatment, desalination, industrial process equipment, pumps, rotating equipment, or related industries
- Ability to understand and discuss system design, process applications, and equipment performance
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience developing proposals and negotiating commercial agreements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to travel throughout Latin America approximately 30-40% of the time
- Professional proficiency in English plus Spanish and/or Portuguese
Preferred
- Experience with reverse osmosis systems, membrane treatment processes, or desalination applications
- Understanding of pumping systems, energy recovery technologies, motors, and VFDs
- Existing network within the water treatment, desalination, or industrial process markets
- Experience supporting OEMs, EPC firms, and engineering consultants
