Senior Automation and Controls Project Manager
Position Summary
We're seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Project Manager to join our team at a leading systems integrator. In this role, you'll oversee complex industrial and automation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they meet budget, schedule, and quality objectives. You'll serve as the primary client contact, manage resources, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from planning through execution, managing scope, cost, and timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet deliverables.
- Track progress using earned value metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and change orders for new and existing projects.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies throughout all phases.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 6-10 years of project management experience in industrial or automation environments.
- Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
Preferred:
- PMP certification.
- Experience in data center or semiconductor projects.
Compensation
Salary range: $135K-$165K, plus bonus and employee stock ownership program.
