Compensation and Benefits

Position Overview
The Senior Civil Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing civil engineering projects across residential, commercial, and public sectors. This position serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that project goals are met with precision and professionalism. The role involves overseeing design and planning efforts, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to client engagement and team collaboration. This role also includes supporting recruitment efforts by leveraging professional networks to identify and onboard qualified talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design and technical teams
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic growth
- Coordinate interdepartmental project handoffs
- Allocate internal and external resources effectively
- Monitor project budgets, billing, and cash flow
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting
- Manage project schedules and timelines
- Prepare specifications, proposals, and statements of qualifications
- Oversee site grading, road design, and utility systems (stormwater, sewer, water)
- Conduct modeling for stormwater quantity and quality
- Design erosion and sediment control systems
- Support land entitlement and site layout processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam
- Solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
- High ethical standards and reliability
- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil project management
- Experience with private development projects is essential
- Washington State PE license required; multi-state licensure is a plus
- PMP certification is beneficial
- Valid Washington driver's license and clean driving record required for travel to project sites and client meetings
