Senior Consultant / Manager - Cost Management & Quantity Surveying Advisory (Sydney)

A leading advisory consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant/Manager to join its Sydney-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure and energy projects across Australia and internationally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic cost advice, commercial analysis, and project controls across all phases of the project lifecycle. This is a client-facing role suited to professionals with strong technical capability and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic cost advice to support investment decisions and business case development
- Deliver Lender's Technical Advisory (LTA) services on major infrastructure projects
- Lead dispute resolution, claims, and variation assessments
- Manage cost control, estimating, and benchmarking throughout project phases
- Support contract management and commercial analysis
- Present findings to clients and mentor junior team members
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying
- Proven experience in infrastructure, energy, and water sectors
- Strong background in feasibility studies, estimating, and cost planning
- Skilled in contract administration and change management
- Proficient in CostX, Power BI, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
