About the Role
My client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical design and operational support for advanced data center projects. This role combines technical leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement in both design and field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electrical design and equipment submittals for new data centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Provide operational support, including ad-hoc training and critical procedure reviews.
- Lead design solutions for upgrades that add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design engineering, hardware, EHS) to maintain consistency and reliability.
- Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions.
- Conduct engineering site audits and produce risk reports with mitigation strategies.
- Act as resident engineer during construction, commissioning, and turnover phases.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong engineering judgment and ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
- Experience solving complex problems with engineered solutions.
- Skilled in managing engineering projects and consultants.
- Comfortable building trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptable and willing to engage in both office and field work.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with mission-critical facilities (data centers preferred).
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAHs, etc.).
- Knowledge of EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls systems.
- Ability to interpret and create construction drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of building codes and regulations.
