A nationally recognized consulting engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Designer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing Atlanta team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex healthcare, mission-critical, data center, and commercial projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, grounding, and building electrical systems
- Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery
- Support construction administration activities including RFIs and submittal reviews
- Participate in quality control reviews and multidisciplinary design coordination
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership (senior-level candidates)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of electrical design/engineering experience within the AEC industry
- Experience with healthcare, medical office, data center, or other mission-critical facilities preferred
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or SKM
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards
- EIT or PE license preferred
