A well established, employee owned geotechnical consulting firm is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its growing team in the Portland area. This is a key hire for a high performing office with a strong backlog of local and regional work, offering the opportunity to take on technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities from day one.
The Opportunity:
- Lead geological components of geotechnical projects from investigation through design and reporting
- Interpret subsurface conditions, develop geologic models, and provide practical recommendations to support design teams
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the technical development of the team
- Participate in client meetings and help support ongoing business development efforts
- Work on a diverse range of projects including infrastructure, slope stability, landslides, and site development
What They're Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in engineering geology or geotechnical consulting
- Strong background in field investigations, logging, and geologic interpretation
- Experience with slope stability, landslide evaluation, and hazard assessment preferred
- Professional licensure (PG or CEG) or ability to obtain in the near term
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with clients and internal teams
