Summary: We're seeking a seasoned environmental professional to lead complex projects and drive innovative solutions in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you'll manage all phases of environmental projects, provide technical expertise, and foster client relationships while mentoring junior staff. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on environmental restoration and sustainability in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from scoping and budgeting through execution, reporting, and client communication
- Provide technical oversight for soil and groundwater remediation, vapor intrusion, mitigation system design/installation, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS)
- Oversee field investigations including drilling, sampling, and data collection; prepare design recommendations for complex site conditions
- Mentor engineers, geologists, and technical staff to support career development and in-house training
- Drive business development by leveraging local market knowledge and client relationships to identify and secure new opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological or Environmental Sciences, or related technical field
- Minimum of 8 years of professional environmental engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required
- Proven experience with soil and groundwater remediation/design, vapor intrusion, soil gas investigations, contaminated sites, and/or mitigation systems preferred
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent business development abilities; existing client relationships in the local market preferred
