Senior Estimator- Substations

As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a critical role in shaping competitive bids, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the full estimating lifecycle-from pre-bid planning to post-award support.

Location & Travel:
- Office-based work preferred, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.
- Occasional travel to other offices, yard locations, trainings, and customer facilities may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the estimating process for substation and related electrical infrastructure projects.
- Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
- Perform material take-offs and solicit competitive vendor/subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during estimate reviews.
- Prepare customer deliverables including schedules, proposal letters, and qualification documents.
- Support project managers with pre-construction planning and scope reviews.
- Participate in project meetings and provide lessons learned post-construction.
- Contribute to weekly estimating and monthly safety meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating, with a strong focus on substation projects.
- Valid Driver's License and eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with general construction practices and the National Electric Code.
- Experience with Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards.
