Senior Estimator- Substations

As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a critical role in shaping competitive bids, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the full estimating lifecycle-from pre-bid planning to post-award support.

Location & Travel:

• Office-based work preferred, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.
• Occasional travel to other offices, yard locations, trainings, and customer facilities may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating process for substation and related electrical infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
• Perform material take-offs and solicit competitive vendor/subcontractor quotes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during estimate reviews.
• Prepare customer deliverables including schedules, proposal letters, and qualification documents.
• Support project managers with pre-construction planning and scope reviews.
• Participate in project meetings and provide lessons learned post-construction.
• Contribute to weekly estimating and monthly safety meetings.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating, with a strong focus on substation projects.
• Valid Driver's License and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with general construction practices and the National Electric Code.
• Experience with Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards.
