The Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing Tier 2 contractor in the water infrastructure sector, looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to support an expanding pipeline of work across Sydney and wider NSW.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with delivery, engineering, and commercial teams to price works across key water projects. The business operates across frameworks and standalone D&C projects, with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex works in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil water infrastructure projects (pipelines, pump stations, treatment upgrades, utilities works)
- Take ownership of tenders end-to-end, from initial review through to submission
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope to build robust pricing and methodologies
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop practical, deliverable solutions
- Engage directly with subcontractors and suppliers to build competitive and realistic pricing
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within bids
- Support negotiations and post-tender clarifications with clients
About You
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 7-12+ years' experience within civil infrastructure, ideally with strong exposure to water projects
- Proven experience in an estimating role within a contractor environment (Tier 1 or Tier 2)
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and on-site delivery challenges
- Experience working on Sydney Water or similar utility frameworks will be highly regarded
- Commercially sharp, detail-oriented, and confident working in a fast-paced bidding environment
- Collaborative in approach, with the ability to work closely with delivery teams
