Seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver technically rigorous work on transportation and water resources projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical engagement, clear analytical thinking, and close coordination with internal teams and public‑sector clients.
* Lead geotechnical analyses for transportation and water infrastructure including foundations, embankments, retaining structures, and ground improvement
* Plan and oversee field investigations: borings, test pits, instrumentation, in‑situ testing, and lab programs
* Develop and review engineering calculations: slope stability, seepage, settlement, bearing capacity, deformation modeling, and seismic evaluations
* Produce and review technical reports, design memoranda, and stamped deliverables
* Provide construction‑phase support including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits
* Coordinate effectively with structural, civil, environmental, and hydraulics teams
* Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth within the group
* Maintain consistent delivery across multiple projects with public‑sector standards and QA/QC requirements
* BS or MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
* 7-15 years of geotechnical engineering experience
* Strong background in transportation or water resources projects (DOT, municipal infrastructure, flood control, levees, pump stations, pipelines, or similar)
* Proficiency with common geotechnical software (SLIDE, PLAXIS, GeoStudio suite, LPILE, etc.)
* Experience planning and interpreting geotechnical investigations and lab programs
* Strong technical writing skills and comfort presenting findings to project stakeholders
* PE license required
