Responsibilities:
- Acts as a technical contributor during internal and client-facing design discussions
- Develops early-stage system layouts in digital format to support budgeting and planning
- Conducts detailed calculations related to system performance, sizing, and flow characteristics
- Visits project sites to verify alignment with design intent and helps resolve construction-phase questions
- Guides junior staff in producing HVAC and related system designs, ensuring quality and consistency
- Produces initial system concepts tailored to the unique requirements of each project
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally 10, with a focus on HVAC system design
- Strong understanding of air and fluid systems, along with general knowledge of how these systems function in real-world applications
- Proficient in design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical layouts
- Familiarity with specialized piping systems is a plus
- Skilled at overseeing and supporting the development of junior technical staff
- Able to communicate clearly, both in writing and in person, with team members, clients, and construction partners
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and representing the team in professional settings
