About the Role
This nationally recognized architecture firm is seeking a Senior K-12 Architect to lead their dedicated K-12 team. This is a leadership position for an experienced architect passionate about shaping innovative, sustainable learning environments that inspire students and educators alike. You will drive design excellence, mentor team members, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver transformative educational spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the K-12 practice area, setting vision and strategy aligned with firm goals.
- Serve as the primary client contact for major K-12 projects, ensuring exceptional service and outcomes.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of architects and designers.
Design Excellence
- Oversee all phases of design and documentation for K-12 projects.
- Champion sustainable design principles and integrate them into every project.
- Ensure designs meet educational standards, community needs, and future-ready learning concepts.
Collaboration & Communication
- Foster a culture of collaboration across disciplines and offices.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client presentations.
Project Management
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Drive quality assurance and risk management throughout project delivery.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture and current architectural license.
- 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of K-12 projects.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
- Expertise in sustainable design strategies and educational facility planning.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
- Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) and emerging technologies.
