Senior Plumbing Engineer
Position Summary
A privately held engineering and design consultancy is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer or Designer to join its team in Irvine or Corona. This role involves designing plumbing systems for a variety of building types, including residential complexes, commercial spaces, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. Design work is primarily conducted using Revit and AutoCAD.
The firm is experiencing growth across multiple sectors and is looking for experienced professionals who thrive in collaborative, Revit-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design plumbing systems for diverse building types
- Develop system design calculations and select appropriate equipment
- Prepare detailed design documentation and specifications
- Conduct code compliance research
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
- Perform site surveys to document existing conditions
- Provide construction administration services
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and design guidelines
- LEED certification or experience is a plus
- PE is strongly preferred
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and time management abilities
Travel Requirement: Up to 20%
