The Role
A senior project management position for an experienced civil engineer ready to lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and play a meaningful role in client development and retention. You'll have full ownership of project delivery while contributing to the technical and professional growth of the team around you.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary client contact across all phases of project coordination and design
- Manage multiple concurrent civil engineering projects for both public agencies and private developers
- Establish project fees, schedules, and budgets and track performance against commitments
- Ensure technical quality, accuracy, and QA/QC across all deliverables
- Write and review project proposals and statements of qualifications
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
- Provide construction administration support including site visits and contractor coordination
- Foster and grow long-term client relationships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Washington State PE license
- 8+ years of experience as a Civil Engineering Project Manager
- Knowledge of Washington State codes, regulations, and site development standards
- Permitting experience with various municipalities
- Ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across both public infrastructure and private development project types
- Proven track record of client relationship management and repeat business
- Experience writing proposals and statements of qualifications
- Comfortable making independent decisions and solving complex engineering challenges
Compensation
- $115,000 to $180,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus
