Senior Structural Engineer - Nashville, TN (P.E. Required) (Open to relocation from other states)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading structural engineering consulting firm with over 60 years of experience and a strong presence across the Southeastern U.S. With 10 offices and a consistent record as a "Best Firm to Work For," this firm is known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture, and commitment to employee development.

This opportunity is based in their Nashville office, where the team is expanding to support a growing portfolio of projects in manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, historical, and adaptive reuse sectors.


What You'll Do:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead design and analysis efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and project teams. You'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle - from feasibility studies to construction administration - and have the opportunity to grow into either a technical specialist or leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural design and oversee construction documentation
  • Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings
  • Perform QA/QC and site inspections
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
  • Coordinate across disciplines to ensure quality and client satisfaction

What They're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Active PE license (SE a plus)
  • 8+ years of experience in structural building design
  • Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry systems
  • Familiarity with tools like Tekla, ETABS, RAM, RISA, Revit
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
