Job Title: Solid Waste Engineer
Location: Maryland
Salary: $100,000 - 150,000
Position Overview:
In this role, you'll contribute to a wide variety of solid waste infrastructure projects, guiding them from initial concept through design, permitting, construction, and ongoing operations. You'll work closely with both public and private sector clients, delivering innovative solutions and expert support across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project and program objectives.
- Conduct evaluations and feasibility studies for solid waste and organics management systems and facilities.
- Lead and support the planning, design, permitting, and construction of Landfill cells and closures, Landfill gas management and reuse systems, Composting facilities, Convenience centers, Transfer stations, Integrated facility campuses, etc.
- Provide technical support for the operation and optimization of solid waste infrastructure.
- Contribute to a range of environmental and civil engineering projects as needed.
- Pursue professional growth across technical and leadership areas aligned with your skills and interests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer license
- 5+ years of environmental infrastructure design experience, with a focus on solid waste, landfill, and organics management facilities.
- Experience with construction-phase services is preferred.
