A growing engineering and consulting organization is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer with deep experience in power system studies and analytical modeling. This role involves leading complex simulations, collaborating with a wide range of clients, and contributing technical expertise to diverse consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced power system studies, including:
  • Steady‑state analysis
  • Short‑circuit analysis
  • Transient stability simulations
• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, interpret technical needs, and deliver high‑quality engineering insights.
• Provide analytical and technical contributions across multiple consulting projects.
• Operate independently or within cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate, timely results.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems; MS or PhD preferred.
• Authorization to work and reside in the United States without restrictions.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in the electric power industry.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with power system modeling methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience usingindustry‑standard simulation tools such as:
  • PowerWorld
  • PSSE
  • TARA
  • MAPS
  • or comparable platforms
    (Proficiency in at least one suite is required.)
• Working understanding of power market operations, structures, and administration (preferred).
• Experience performing stability simulations and using stability analysis software (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in client‑facing settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while also collaborating effectively within larger project teams.
