My client, a well-established civil engineering firm specializing in transportation infrastructure, is seeking a Construction Manager in the St. Louis area to lead construction inspection efforts and manage staff across multiple offices. This high-visibility leadership role reports directly to the company president and offers the opportunity to oversee impactful infrastructure projects, strengthen client relationships, and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor construction inspection teams
- Manage multiple transportation projects (roadway, bridge, site)
- Oversee schedules, budgets, and client deliverables
- Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders
- Support business development and proposals
- Ensure construction quality and compliance with plans and standards
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- PE license (IL or MO required)
- 15+ years in roadway construction; 3+ years project management
- DOT/public agency experience (IDOT, MoDOT, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of plans, specs, and construction processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
