An established global engineering and consulting organization is seeking a Staff Overhead Transmission Line Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of transmission structures for utility clients. This role involves working on projects related to overhead power delivery systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for overhead transmission line structures, including lattice towers, monopoles, and foundations
- Apply relevant industry standards and codes to ensure safe, compliant designs
- Support project execution from concept through detailed design and construction
- Conduct calculations, modeling, and review of engineering deliverables
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers (as applicable)
- Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field)
- Experience in structural engineering, preferably related to transmission or utility infrastructure
- Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASCE, AISC, NESC)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or progress toward licensure
