Structural Engineer (Water)

Key Responsibilities
Develop structural designs for water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, lift stations, basins, and reservoirs
Perform structural analysis, seismic evaluations, and foundation design using industry-standard tools
Prepare and review design documents, specifications, and engineering reports
Conduct field inspections, condition assessments, and constructability reviews
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and process engineers
Interface with clients, contractors, and permitting agencies to ensure project delivery
Lead scope development, budgeting, and scheduling activities
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and oversee quality standards on deliverables
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
10+ years of structural design experience focused on water/wastewater facilities
Active PE license (SE a plus)
Proficiency in structural modeling and design software (e.g., SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, Revit)
Knowledge of codes and standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and applicable water infrastructure guidelines
Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with green infrastructure and resiliency upgrades
Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods
Previous work with municipal clients or utility agencies
