Superintedent
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Solar Superintendent to oversee the electrical scope of work on utility-scale solar projects. This role is critical in ensuring that all electrical installations are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site electrical activities, including underground, above-ground, and medium-voltage work.
- Manage subcontractors and electrical crews to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Interpret electrical plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to maintain alignment across disciplines.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Monitor material deliveries, inventory, and usage to avoid delays and minimize waste.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress tracking, and documentation.
- Support commissioning and testing of electrical systems in coordination with QA/QC teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and utility interconnection standards.
- Experience with medium-voltage systems (up to 35kV) and DC/AC solar electrical systems.
- Proven ability to lead field teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- OSHA 30 certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-specific).
- Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management software and digital reporting tools.
