Superintendent - Mechanical Construction

The Opportunity
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on mechanical construction projects in the Raleigh area. This individual will play a critical leadership role on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.
The Superintendent will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients, acting as the primary field representative from project start through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily on‑site construction activities for mechanical projects
- Supervise, coordinate, and lead craft labor and subcontractors
- Plan manpower, scheduling, and work sequencing to meet project milestones
- Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance across all site activities
- Review drawings and specifications to support constructability and quality
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and equipment needs
- Communicate progress, issues, and solutions with the project team
- Maintain site documentation and support project reporting
- Ensure work is completed to contract, code, and quality requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on mechanical construction projects
- Strong background in HVAC and/or plumbing systems
- Proven leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience on commercial or industrial projects preferred
