Technical Design Director
Position Overview
A well-established M&E consultancy firm specializing in mission-critical environments is seeking a visionary Technical Design Director to lead and grow its technical design capabilities. This role is instrumental in driving excellence across high-impact projects in data centers, hospitals, laboratories, and other complex infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand the multidisciplinary design team, fostering a culture of technical innovation and collaboration.
- Oversee the delivery of integrated electrical and mechanical design solutions for mission-critical facilities.
- Ensure alignment of design outcomes with client expectations, regulatory standards, and commercial objectives.
- Provide strategic direction on project execution, resource planning, and technical quality assurance.
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to talent development across the organization.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical design within complex infrastructure sectors.
- Proven leadership experience in managing and scaling technical teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong technical foundation paired with commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Track record of delivering high-value, technically demanding projects in consultancy settings.
