About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Electrical Engineer to support the design and implementation of electrical systems within commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. This role focuses on low voltage systems including lighting, fire alarm, security, telecommunications, and building automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and layout of low voltage electrical systems in Revit and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with mechanical and plumbing engineers to ensure integrated MPE solutions
- Perform load calculations, circuiting, and system coordination
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Support construction administration, including RFIs and submittal reviews
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in low voltage electrical design within the MPE space
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, EasyPower)
- Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards
- PE license or EIT preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthcare, education, or mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with LEED and sustainable design principles
- Strong communication and coordination skills
