Position Summary
The Threshold Inspector will be responsible for overseeing structural elements of construction projects to ensure compliance with Florida Building Code and approved plans. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct threshold inspections on designated structures in accordance with Florida Statutes and Building Code.
- Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with structural plans and specifications.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address issues and maintain project timelines.
- Ensure all inspection activities are performed safely and professionally.
Qualifications
- Licensed Special Inspector (SI) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect in the State of Florida.
- At least 4 years of experience in structural inspections or construction oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Code and threshold inspection protocols.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
