Transmission Line Engineer
Seeking Transmission Line Engineers to join a growing team responsible for the design and delivery of high-voltage transmission projects. You will work on new builds, rebuilds, greenfield projects, relocations, and maintenance, supporting the entire lifecycle from design through construction. Voltage ranges typically span 46kV to 500kV and above.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-voltage transmission lines using industry-standard tools (e.g., PLS-CADD).
- Prepare construction specifications, material orders, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Support project scoping, conceptual design, and standards development.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for internal teams and external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE standards, NESC, and internal design criteria.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years preferred (will consider strong candidates with 3+ years and significant project experience).
- Extensive experience with 230kV-500kV transmission lines highly desirable.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- Associate degree or equivalent experience considered.
- Licensure: P.E. license not required (a plus if held).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in transmission line design software (PLS-CADD preferred).
- Strong understanding of transmission line construction materials and practices
