$120,000 - $140,000 annually

Overview:

On behalf of my client, I am seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in power transmission line and substation projects for utility companies. This is a highly specialized and demanding role that requires someone who has managed complex projects end-to-end-from engineering and construction to budgeting and contractor oversight. If you've been the person in charge of delivering large-scale transmission and substation projects, we want you on the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full scope of transmission line and substation projects, including planning, engineering, construction, and closeout.
  • Oversee 8+ contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, cash flows, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including utility companies and electrical contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to Ameren operations standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field teams while maintaining strong communication with office-based stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 4-5+ years of experience managing complex transmission line and substation projects for utility companies.
  • Proven ability to manage large budgets, engineering deliverables, and construction activities.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow management and project financials.
  • Background in civil or electrical contracting preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to handle multiple contractors and complex scopes.
