Transportation Design Project Engineer
A top regional client of ours is hiring a Transportation Design Engineer to support a range of infrastructure initiatives that enhance mobility and safety across the Midwest. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who thrive in dynamic, community-focused environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in transportation engineering and planning efforts for multi-scale projects
- Produce technical documentation including environmental assessments and design reports
- Perform roadway design tasks such as plan creation, drainage layout, material quantity analysis, and cost estimation
- Coordinate and participate in public engagement activities
- Support proposal development, interview preparation, and resource planning for new project opportunities
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to ensure project success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited U.S. institution
- At least 8 years of experience in transportation design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin
- Strong command of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with Wisconsin DOT procedures is a plus
- Must have relevant U.S.-based professional experience
