Transportation Design Project Engineer

A top regional client of ours is hiring a Transportation Design Engineer to support a range of infrastructure initiatives that enhance mobility and safety across the Midwest. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who thrive in dynamic, community-focused environments.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist in transportation engineering and planning efforts for multi-scale projects
  • Produce technical documentation including environmental assessments and design reports
  • Perform roadway design tasks such as plan creation, drainage layout, material quantity analysis, and cost estimation
  • Coordinate and participate in public engagement activities
  • Support proposal development, interview preparation, and resource planning for new project opportunities
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited U.S. institution
  • At least 8 years of experience in transportation design
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin
  • Strong command of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin DOT procedures is a plus
  • Must have relevant U.S.-based professional experience
