Underground Wet Utility Estimator

Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team specializing in underground wet utility projects. This position plays a critical role in securing work by preparing accurate and competitive bids for water, sewer, and storm drain installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for underground wet utility construction projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility.
• Track market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations to management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience successfully bidding and winning underground wet utility construction projects, preferably in the San Diego area.
• Strong knowledge of wet utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drain installations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with local agencies, permitting processes, and regional pricing in San Diego.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
