A leading U.S.-based renewable energy developer is seeking a VP/SVP, Capital Markets & Treasury
to lead strategic capital formation, market analysis, and financial operations for its growing portfolio of utility-scale solar projects. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of finance, strategy, and clean energy innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead capital raising efforts, including debt financing, equity placement, and underwriting
* Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and capital partners
* Oversee treasury operations and lender relations, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial health
* Develop revenue forecasts and market insights using internal models and external consultants
* Build and maintain in-house views on power market fundamentals (e.g., gas, carbon, capacity mix, basis risk)
* Optimize cost of capital through innovative financing structures
* Provide leadership and mentorship to the Capital Markets team
* Track and analyze market trends, policy shifts, and pricing dynamics to identify strategic opportunities
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies related to capital markets activities
* Prepare internal and board-level presentations on capital strategy and performance
* Drive process improvements and knowledge sharing across the organization
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
* 8+ years of experience in capital markets or investment banking, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
* Proven track record of executing complex financial transactions in the energy or infrastructure sectors
* Strong financial modeling, deal structuring, and compliance expertise
* Experience overseeing treasury functions and managing lender relationships
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Deep understanding of energy markets and renewable energy financing
