A leading union electrical contractor is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Vice President of Business Development to spearhead the launch and growth of a new regional operation. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of a market, build strong utility relationships, and lead business expansion in the power delivery space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of regional growth strategies within the power delivery sector.
- Establish and manage a new office location, with full operational autonomy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients and key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including long-term utility contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events and within the local market.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record in business development within the power delivery or utility contracting space.
- Strong local market knowledge and existing relationships with utility providers.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to launch and lead a new operation.
- Experience working with union labor is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support business growth.
Location Flexibility:
While preference is given to candidates based in or near Kansas City or Eastern Missouri, strong candidates in other strategic regions (e.g., Northeast, Florida, South Houston, Georgia) will also be considered.
Compensation:
